Recently Seen:

Thanks to Netflix and my boyfriend, I've seen a ton of movies as of recently. Netflix because it's a godsend when I'm trying to do homework or just when I'm bored. Boyfriend is a Film and French major, so his love for movies is of course very prominent. Two movies that we have watched recently include The Virgin Suicides and The Social Network

The Virgin Suicides: Okay, let's be honest. I'm not a huge movie buff like boyfriend is. However, this movie came highly recommended from our friend Kiki. Without going into great detail, the movie is about five sisters who live under their mothers insanely strict rule. Honestly, I don't see how the mother is so strict, a lot of the time it just bothered me how strict she was. Anyways, the movie was good. Boyfriend had a few "technical" problems with it, but he is a film major. It's what I expect from him. There were a few parts that made me cringe, but then again I'm silly when it comes to watching movies. All in all I'd say go for it.

The Social Network: This was a movie that I was interested in seeing in theaters, but never got around to it (I have a lot of those). So, when I went over to boyfriends house one day he suggested we watch it and I greatly agreed. The movie is about the making of Facebook and the law suits it went through after it was launched. The movie was fantastic, after all it did win 3 Oscars. It was a little tough for me to follow at times because he spoke so fast. Overall it was an excellent movie.

Weekend Wrap Up!

Well, one thing is for sure. That would be that I had a fantastic week/weekend. This past week was my boyfriends Spring Break/Mardi Gras Vacation. I only had Monday and Tuesday (and part of Wednesday) off but I spent most of Monday and part of Wednesday working. So, boyfriend came into town and stayed the whole time, this was a very rare occasion.

The rest of my weekdays were filled to the brim with homework, studying, and cleaning. Then the weekend came. At first, I didn't think that this weekend was going to be busy. Boy was I wrong. You see, Friday Boyfriend and I just hung out, ran errands and went to bed somewhat early (read: midnight). Then we had to wake up SUPER EARLY Saturday morning (read: 8am). So we woke up super early and were supposed to go eat breakfast with my friend Kiki (who runs this little blog). But, due to sickness she was unable to make it :(

She's so incredibly kind and beautiful. Love her. SO, after we ran back to my dorm, we had to hurry and pack up a bag for the weekend, run errands with boyfriend and then head to New Orleans for our friends Kristen and Greg's engagement shower. The shower was beautiful. It was a night shower, so we had to get dressed up. Boyfriend wore a button down shirt and a sweater, and I of course was wear a dress and flats (boyfriend isn't much taller than me so I don't usually wear heels).

(This is not a picture from this weekend. Unfortunately I forgot to bring a camera. BUT it is a picture of boyfriend and I)

All in all it was a fun weekend. We ended up not getting home till late Saturday night and then woke up early Sunday (read: 11am ish) and I had to drive back home so I could get some homework done.

Boyfriends.

Last weekend, I got to see my boyfriend for the first time in two or so weeks. Let me say, I know that an hour and a half away is not long distance, but it still sucks. So, we literally slept, all weekend. Made it out to two cute little family parades.

Then Sunday we went to this cute little levee and just watched the boats and birds.

He's so silly I swear. He loves posing.

The Weekend At A Glance

This weekend was absolutely perfect. Unfortunately my DSLR is huge and at home. So really the only camera I carry around with me is my iPhone. I need a bigger purse so I can carry it around more often. This weekend was fully of time spent with my boyfriend (which I cherish), out to eat dinners and times with friends.

I always attempt to read the school paper everyday. Even sometimes doing the crossword puzzle, although I have trouble finishing it.

I thought that it would be cold on Friday...I was mistaken. I ended up talking off all my cold gear and walking around in my shirt and pants.

We went to India's on Friday night and got some of the best food in the world. I love it.

Then, on Saturday, boyfriend and I ran errands...Isn't he just adorable!

Saturday Night? Sushi date. SO much goodness. I love sushi wayy too much and could drop ungodly amounts on it.

Since we were running errands all day, I felt like we sat at red lights forever.

Then we went to this cute little resturant/bar called Chelsea's too see these two "Southern Rock" bands play. I loved them and so did Boyfriend and our two friends.

Music of the Moment

When I first met boyfriend, I was struggling with deciding if I actually wanted to be in a relationship or not, even with such an amazing person that he is. Basically it was a head vs heart situation. After listening to this song, and the entire Mumford CD, I decided to just jump in. (I'm really glad I did).

Boyfriend.

Boyfriend lives an hour and a half away, however, he doesn't have classes on Friday. I got the greatest surprise in the world when he came into town to surprise me last night.

Usually, we try and talk every night at least 10 minutes every night, via skype.

It's not too bad, and if you ask me. It's completely worth it.

PS: He's incredibly silly.

New Orleans Weekend

I spent this last long weekend before school starts with my boyfriend in New Orleans. He's in school down there so the purpose of the trip was to get him settled back into his apartment and spend some time together before we both have to go a month without seeing each other (in person that is; we always do skype dates at night before we go to sleep).

Friday I didn't get off of work until 7:30, so we didn't leave town till about 8:45-9. By the time we got to Nola we were both exhausted so we brought everything in and then went to sleep.

Saturday, we slept until about 10ish and then watched How I Met Your Mother: Season 1 alllll day. But really, it took us all day to watch half the season because we'd watch one episode and then fall asleep for 20 minutes. And then repeat the process.

By the time Sunday rolled around we really wanted to go into the heart of the city. We walked (literally) across New Orleans and back, stopping and taking pictures every now and then. Really, we spent a good 6-7 hours out there. Then we went to this adorable little gelato place and split a scoop of mint gelato (it was delicious to say the least).

Monday brought on a day of packing and organizing. We made one last trip to walmart to get everything we forgot and then headed home. Boyfriend packed my bags back in my car and I headed home.

I'd have to say it was a successful trip.
